Souvenir – the performance

Souvenir is an artistic research project by the research center aiku – Art Enterprise Culture, based on an idea by Zelda Teatro. It stems from the collaboration between economic and social research, photography, and performing arts. The experimental result, previewed at the Italian High Craftsmanship Fair, consists of a photography exhibition, displayed on the walls of Tesa 105 at the Arsenale, and a theatrical performance with monologues drawn from interviews conducted with artisans and transformed into a theatrical script by Filippo Tognazzo. University research and various artistic perspectives converge on the intergenerational transmission of artisanal knowledge, exploring the memories of artisans to trace the paths of Venetian craftsmanship.

The project is funded by the Veneto Region (DGR 1643/2022 Cultura in Rete) and created for the regional project KTM – Kill the Moonlight, by the Ca’ Foscari University Foundation and the aiku – Art Enterprise Culture Center.
